What a Disappointment
I did some research and asked some friends and became convinced that my best bet for a coffee pot that would last 10+ … I was very tired of having a replace a coffee pot every year or so, especially since some of them held a price point similar to the Bunn. I did some research and asked some friends and became convinced that my best bet for a coffee pot that would last 10+ years was the Bunn. I’ve had it about a month now & wanted to address some of the concerns mentioned in other reviews. Many reviews mentioned an unpleasant odor, like the smell of burnt plastic. We have had no such odor. Perhaps this is something they have fixed? Some mention a week tasting coffee. I think I do use a couple tablespoons more coffee than with my last coffee pot, but I’m very happy with the taste. Others mentioned it not being hot enough – something else I have not experienced. My coffee is perfectly hot and stays that way for hours in the carafe. And several mentioned the carafe not pouring well, making a mess. Again, maybe this is something they fixed? With my carafe, it’s not even possible for…
and the first few days loved it. After a few days I began to … I bought this coffee maker almost three weeks ago, and the first few days loved it. After a few days I began to smell something burning. A smell of plastic burning. I have had the coffeemaker about 3 weeks now. I was trying to give it a chance for the odor to stop, but I think It has gotten worse. It woke me up last night. Kind of scared me because I thought the house was on fire. It was that awful burning plastic smell. I walked into the house to day and it was so strong it burned my eyes and sinuses. Its a very nauseating smell. I wish it didn’t do that because it makes good coffee. I have also have had trouble with the carafe not pouring right. It comes out as a dribble, then it might pour out on the side of the spout..Unpredictable. Sadly, I guess I will return. I really wanted it to work. I don’t know what would cause that awful smell. The carafe does not keep the coffee hot for very long. Maybe 1 hour, or an hour and a half. I now have a headache from the fumes…Cant be good…
