This is the best coffeemaker I’ve had This is the best coffeemaker I’ve had, and over the years I’ve tried many. The WiFi start option is fantastic and elevates it above other coffeemakers – but as a coffee maker, it is excellent. It brews quickly, the coffee is nice and hot, the carafe keeps the coffee warm for hours and the coffee retains its flavor much better than those with a heating element under the carafe. It is easy to fill with water, and the section for the grounds comes out easily and can be refilled away from the coffee maker and then inserted. I only use filtered water, but have the other filter in place as well, and the app will remind you to change the filter. Although it does not have any options regarding brewing strength – it only takes a couple of uses to figure out how much coffee you need to add for your particular taste. My favorite feature, however, is the ability to start it from upstairs with my phone app, and find it ready by the time I brush my teeth and get downstairs. Don’t let the other…
Works perfectly but leaks
Dissappointing Decided to purchase this because my 7 year old Cuisinart started crapping out every not and then. Since I started the smart home thing, I figured it would be a cool addition. After a few days, I’ll say it makes a decent coffee pot, but I’m returning it. It’s far from anything priced in this range. I’d price this at a $50 maker.First off, and the most important for me, if you like to pour a cup of steaming hot coffee, this is NOT the coffee pot you want. My 7 year old Cuisinart that still makes coffee twice as hot as this coffee maker. If you pour a little milk/creamer in your coffee, instant room temperature. If you like or don’t mind only warm coffee, I’ll honestly say that it makes great tasting coffee. The wifi features seems to work very well. I linked it up with the Wemo app and also to my Alexa via IFTTT. Worked flawlessly.Secondly, as for the thermal decanter, after an hour it’s room temperature.
