Smaller and portable: Pixie is a superb Nespresso machine! The Pixie has got to be the smallest and most portable single-serve coffee machine on the market. It has so much going for it! Like other Nespresso machines, this Pixie produces a top-notch coffee product. This particular model offers a milk frother alongside the coffee maker–and that is a real plus. The two together cost less than if purchased separately. All things considered: The Pixie works every bit as well as the older and larger (but not much larger) CitiZ and the newest “kid on the block”, the Nespresso U. The Pixie has a smaller water well. It also has a smaller compartment for spent capsules. In my experience that does not matter. In fact, it’s probably better. You should start with fresh water as often as possible and it’s easy and quick to dump spent capsules.I think the whole line of Nespresso machines are far better than Tassimo and Kuerig machines. The Nespresso machines are better designed: They work quicker and quieter; have a…

and I have been very happy with it I bought this about a year ago, and I have been very happy with it. It’s impressively well-designed, it’s attractive, and it allows me to have a latte (or three) every morning without paying $4.10/each at Starbucks. I love how the drip-catcher flips down the moment I pull my large cup away, so no drips hit the counter, and the red light is a nice feature for warning me that the unit is running out of water (which I fill once a day – why ruin otherwise good espresso with stale bad-tasting water). It took me a while to figure out what works best for the latte flavor I was looking for. (Some may be critical of this, but I like Starbucks – a short 8 oz. double latte.) I find that a strong roast, like Ristretto, made with the Lungo setting works well for me.I really like the Aeroccino as well. It doesn’t scorch (unlike another brand I tried – I can’t remember what brand it was though.) At first the milk didn’t seem hot enough, but I got used to it and I enjoy it now…

We LOVE this machine We LOVE this machine. I was having a hard time deciding between the Pixie or the Citizen simply because the Citizen has a larger reservoir, but after seeing the footprint, I went with the Swiss-made Pixie…and I’m so glad I did. When you’re making 2 oz espressos, the Pixie holds more than enough water to last 2 of us over a week. Regardless, the water reservoir is so easy to fill that it’s truly not a hassle at all.The machine takes seconds to warm up and about 20 seconds to pump out a glorious, frothy espresso. It came with a large sampler pack in which I honestly did not find one that I didn’t like. I saw a decaf espresso in the mix, to which I mocked, but then one night when I was chilled to the bone I popped that decaf in and no longer had any harsh feelings against such an idea.I had to call customer support (which was top notch) once when the light was flashing as if the reservoir was empty, but it wasn’t. She told me to wash out the reservoir and…
