Compare to Takeya I’ve used the small Takeya to brew ice tea for several years. I recently fell in love with cold brew coffee and wanted a larger pot. When I went online I saw the Primula with two positive reviews and a cheaper price so I bought it. The positive is that it makes great tasting coffee. However, the mesh container that holds the grounds is open on the top and the brew has to be strained to remove grounds that have strayed into the liquid. The Takeya grounds container is screwed onto the inside of the lid so no grounds can escape. In addition, Takeya provides a cup to set the grounds container in when you remove it from the pot so it doesn’t leak all over your counter. Having used both, I would say the Takeya is worth the extra money.
Great cold brew coffee maker! Love this cold brew coffee maker! And..knowing it was plastic instead of glass sold me on it!! Not flimsy at all! I just add coffee to the filter add water..let it brew in the fridge 24 hours..pour it over ice..add some some flavored coffee creamer..awesome! Saves me a ton of money not having to buy it anymore at a coffee shop!
HUGE! I love it! Itâs so tall, I had to move a shelf in my fridge. But I bought this because the other one only lasts for two days ( my thermos holds 32 ounces ) so I wanted to have coffee steeping n ready for the end of the week. No complaints!
